Actress-host Jolina Magdangal and her musician-husband Mark Escueta married on November 21, 2011. In 2014, the couple welcomed their first child Pele. It was November last year when Jolina announced that she is pregnant with her second child. They revealed the gender of their second baby in ‘Magandang Buhay.’
“[D]inasal namin na magka-baby na pangalawa, tapos dinasal namin na yung gender ay sana babae at lahat ay ibinigay sa amin ng tamang oras, tamang timing,” Jolina said.
On her 26th week of pregnancy, Jolina Magdangal is making sure that all is well for her and her baby, Vika Anaya. According to Jolina, Vika in Indian means “source of life,” while the Hebrew name Anaya is defined as “God answers.”
Jolina spent the day for a series of check-ups at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City, as seen in her vlog uploaded Tuesday. She was accompanied by husband Mark Escueta and their son, Pele.
The actress-talkshow host went through three blood extractions for gestational diabetes, an ultrasound and a visit to the doctor to have an update on her baby girl’s condition.
Jolina said that her baby is normal but Baby Vika’s weight is not regular because of gestational diabetes that is why she got worried. Gestational diabetes is a condition in which a woman without diabetes develops high blood sugar levels during pregnancy.
Excited to welcome this new angel to our family. Happy din si Pele na magkakaroon na siya ng kapatid. Parang kailan lang, baby pa sila Pele at ngayon magiging kuya na siya. I have learned a lot as a momshie. I have become a tough and gentle mother, lalo na sa lagnat. At syempre ganun parin ako for Vika. #CalpolPH #ToughvsGentle
