Sheryl Cruz is a former actress who is known for her role as Divina Ferrer in 2007’s television drama series Sinasamba Kita, and as Valeria on Bakekang and the remake of Rosalinda.
Recently, Sheryl credits her hula-hoop dance routine for helping trim her waist down to 26 inches. Hula hoop is a toy hoop that is twirled around the waist, limbs or neck. She explains the many benefits of hula hooping: “It’s an enjoyable full-body workout, that helps you keep fit, gives you energy, self confidence, and enhances your dancing, hooping creativity.”
On Instagram, Sheryl has been actively posting snippets of her hula-hoop workouts set to different music. Six months since she started with her hula hoop routine, Cruz said she can already see results. Besides her 26-inch waistline, the actress pointed out that at “my height of 5-foot-6, I’m at my ideal weight of 120 pounds.”
“I can’t recall my waistline when it [was] much bigger kasi nakakadismaya lang, hahahaha!
“I’m just happy na bumaba yung waistline ko to a size 26.
Sheryl said she has a trainer who supervises her workouts, and she is also following a specific diet.
“A personal trainer comes to my home three times a week.
“Zumba and a custom-made diet plan helped me shed the unwanted pounds that I didn’t need.
Sheryl plans to continue include the hula hoop in her fitness regimen, as it’s not only “an enjoyable full-body workout,” but also “gives you energy and self-confidence.”
