A tricycle driver from Laguna named Joven Olvido, made the “Pilipinas Got Talent” semifinals relying only on his wit, charming the judges, particularly Vice Ganda, with his funny comebacks on the ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ stage. He gave his best to entertain the people at the semifinals of PGT 2018.
Joven was his usual witty self as he engaged PGT judge Vice Ganda in a witty conversation. But more than that, Joven did all the talents of all the other semifinalists in a humorous way.
Instead of folding under pressure, the show’s surprise star reveled in his unpredictability, bringing the house down with a parody mix of all the routines of the audition round’s golden-buzzer acts.
Angel Locsin said : Ang advantage mo is walang sinumang matinong tao na makakaisip kung ano ang susunod mong gagawin,” she told him, before urging fans to vote him into the grand finals.
Meanwhile, Vice was similarly gushing with praise, saying that he would like to mentor him in the future. The comedian added that he sees himself in Olvido, bringing the contestant to tears.
According to Vice: “Iyong tatas ng bunganga mo, nakikita ko ang sarili ko sa iyo. I want to mentor you para kung saka-sakali mang kailangan ko nang magpahinga, mayroon pang magpapatawa.”
He also launched into a tirade against those who criticized their decision to include Olvido in their list of semifinalists, arguing that the ability to make people laugh is difficult to find.
The tricycle driver contestant was one of the semifinalists who performed on Saturday, alongside dance groups Aloha Philippines and Dauntless Republic, and magician Karl Matrix.
