Two people have d*** after police officers on Thursday night fired mistakenly shots at an AUV bringing a gunshot victim to the hospital. The white van was carrying a woman, identified as Jonalyn Ambaan.

Mandaluyong City police chief Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran and 10 other officers have been placed under administrative relief following a deadly shooting that may be a case of mistaken identity in Barangay Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City.

Villaceran said Mandaluyong police were deployed to assist barangay watchmen in pursuit of a white van that they thought was carrying the shooter in an earlier incident but the van was actually carrying a woman.

Jomar Hayaun, one of the passengers of the van, was k***** in the incident, while Ambaan eventually d*** in the hospital.

Ambaan’s partner Eliseo and their companion Danilo Santiago remain in critical condition at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center.

Villaceran said the Addition Hills incident was triggered by an altercation between construction workers and their neighbors who they said were making too much noise.

The former police chief said those involved will be dismissed from service and be charged with m***** or homicide if investigations show they are at fault.
